The Foods We Make - Washington Dairy

The Foods We Make

One Ingredient to Rule them all.

It’s enjoyable and nutritious and can be made into a wide variety of delectable treats, what is it? It’s milk. Not only is it great in a bowl of cereal or a morning latte, but milk is the base of many of our favorite treats such as cheesecake, ice cream, creamy mac and cheese, or some of the best locally made yogurt.

Milk does a good job supplying us with essential nutrients, naturally (13 in fact). It does such a wonderful job, that the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recognize milk and other dairy products as one of the five major food groups recommended to stay healthy – young and old alike!
